Wednesday, April 28, 2010 at 7:20PM One of the major things that annoys me about the general news media is how it blows things way out of proportion. Blaming movies, music and video games for violence in youths. While any violence at all can bring out the violence in another person they must have latent anger within them in order to express it at all. A video game can't turn a person that's never had violent tendencies into a murderer. It's not just not possible.
This video was brought to my attention and I think it's both amazing in it's own right and shows the only way in which video games could ever be dangerous to the general public. Pixels is a short film by Patrick Jean about a New York invasion by characters most of us will remember fondly from our childhood. I was enthralled from beginning to end.
I always knew those 8-bit monsters were eating away at my soul. I just didn't know how. Now I do. Pixellation.
