As some of you may, or may not, know. I'm a beta tester for Realtime Worlds' upcoming Massively Multiplayer Online game APB (All Points Bulletin). The game is a classic 'Cops and Robbers' style game where you pick your side and complete missions for your given faction. A lot of the fun, as with any MMO, comes with the player interaction which Realtime Worlds have got down to a tee in APB.
To quote the Wikipedia article about APB "Other activities involving missions within the game allowing the player to earn extra money, which then can be used to upgrade weapons, vehicles, and their character appearances, all that influence the game itself. For example, several Criminal players may rob a convenience store within the game; the game will then seek out one or more Law Enforcement players of equivalent skills and other criteria, and will issue an all-points bulletin for them to stop the robbery."
Anyway, enough of my gushing. Realtime Worlds have given me a product key to giveaway for the APB Beta. So if you're interested in helping the development of what could be the next big online game, and your computer can handle it, send an email to martin_baker@GamersNexus.net and if a few people email me, I'll pick one and email you the code.
See you in San Paro!
